Finally after several frustrating weeks of recovering from back procedure could get back to whipping the plot into shape. With time split between the plot and the garden through Friday evening and Saturday and Sunday managed to start to get things back on track.
All main beds weeded and dug over, and all but 5 ready to plant up by Spring Bank Weekend. Just have the perimeter Raspberry/Strawberry beds to weed now.
Rhubarb is going mental so need to pull some this week. Potato bins planted so far (more to do this week) are breaking through and the currant bushes are laden with developing fruit.
Strawberry’s are gearing up for a bumper crop too already..
Planted a red and yellow tumbler tomato in the two shed hanging baskets and will see how the do outside this year.
Finally the Garlic planted last Autumn is looking good and the onions planted earlier in the year are also taking shape.
Next up will be seed sowing, pea and bean supports erected and getting the netting on the cloches once beds are planted up. Still plenty to do!
